Prior to joining Dharma Consulting, Marc was a Vice-President/Senior Consultant for the San Diego office of Drake Beam Morin, an international transition management consulting firm. In his six years with DBM, Marc guided senior executives in the planning and implementation of major transitions such as those resulting from re-organizations and re-structurings, mergers and acquisitions and downsizings. His background also includes four years on the staff of Northwestern University's Executive MBA program and five years in the executive recruiting industry in Chicago, helping organizations hire the right leadership. Marc has an MA in Counseling Psychology and a BA in English Literature, both from Northwestern University. The following represents a partial list of organizations he has assisted in San Diego recently:
In the early 80's Jude entered the Information Technology industry and excelled at winning complex, large scale opportunities. She personally sold over $30M to executives and boards of directors of Global 100 corporations; teams under her direction and influence sold another $30M. Known for her talent and success with teams, she drove sales resource teams to uncommon success by stretching each member to respond uniquely to customer requirements for competitive advantage and cost savings while strengthening team spirit and cohesiveness. "I know I'm going to be on the winning team when Jude is in the lead", is a remark often heard from technical and sales support people at McDonnell Douglas and Digital Equipment Corporation. In this setting her clients included AT&T Network Systems, Textron, and FMC Corporation. She faced other team challenges as a product manager and then a sales program manager with global responsibility at Digital Equipment Corporation. She was frequently asked to lead difficult teams and to turn-around discouraged, non-performing teams. The assignment to get a weekly, bottoms-up forecast from 1700 sales people in 26 languages around the world provided rich learning. The $48M, 5-year program was deployed in Europe while technical problems impeded US implementation. The learning here was in organizing, directing, influencing, and motivating a virtual global team whose members held sometimes conflicting criteria for success. The experience of effectively meeting these diverse challenges contributes to Jude's strength. As a person who values life long learning, Jude earned a Master's in clinical psychology and a Ph.D. in organization development. As a young woman, she held a private practice in psychotherapy in Santa Barbara and Del Mar, California. Her work focused on stress reduction and motivational training. Conducting these workshops for small businesses led her to know her best work was in a business setting. Later her Global 100 employers provided graduate courses in business at Babson College and Harvard Business School. Jude left the corporate life and her million frequent flyer miles in 1996. She and her husband have settled in a Southern California coastal community where she leads an active professional life with less air travel. Jude partners with CEO's and business unit leaders to join business strategy and human resource planning and development to achieve business results. She supports work environments that encourage each person to contribute their best, enable all to keep learning and growing, and create substantial business success. She conducts team building and leadership development workshops valuing and building on individual strength and uniqueness. Jude is gifted at evolving the deep cycle of learning within individuals and teams. Her favorite opportunity is conducting renewal workshops to leaders to build professional resiliency and work/life balance. Representative clients include Qualcomm, The Thomson Companies, Westcorp, Booz-Allen & Hamilton and a host of roller coaster entrepreneurial firms and volatile dot coms.
